Ahnfeldt 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Napa Valley
Ahnfeldt 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Napa Valley
Ahnfeldt 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve

The grapes for this wonderful wine are 99% Cabernet Sauvignon, clone 337 from the Monticello Vineyard, and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon, clone 4, from the Kreuse Canyon Vineyard. When we first tasted the clone 337 Cabernet in January 2013 with our consulting Winemaker Paul Hobbs, we knew this wine was special. A deep, rich, full bodied, wine with fine tannins, oak, and intense fruit character.

Bruce came to the Napa Valley in the mid-1980s as an attorney and began growing grapes, which he sold to wineries for decades. Serendipitously, Celeste—who had experience in both the wine and the hospitality business— also moved to the Napa Valley in the mid-1980s, where she purchased a historic mansion in Old Town Napa and created the elegant six-room McClelland-Priest Bed and Breakfast Inn.

It wasn’t until the new millennium that Bruce launched Ahnfeldt Wines. He and Celeste became a couple in 2005, and they began exploring the potential of downtown Napa and the exciting ways they could blend wine and hospitality.
