Aperture 2017 Oliver Ranch Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley
Aperture 2017 Oliver Ranch Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley
Aperture 2017 Oliver Ranch Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley

This single-vineyard blend demonstrates a uniquely refined composition that achieves spectacular fruit richness balanced by bright natural acidity. Oliver Ranch, planted by the viticulture legend, Phil Freese who leads the Aperture viticulture practices today, is a pristine example of precise vineyard planning and how that shapes the resulting wine.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - 98 Points: "
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Oliver Ranch Vineyard, made of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, is an incredibly alluring wine with a deep ruby-purple color and pure aromas of saffron, cinnamon, warm chocolate, cast iron, sandalwood and loads of floral aromas with a core of lush cassis. The palate is lushly fruited and surprisingly fresh, its fruits cut through with notions of graphite and iron. It has an ultra grainy, pixelated tannic frame and continues to open and evolve on the very long finish. This classically styled Cabernet Sauvignon spent 22 months in 70% new French oak. Around 60% of the fruit this year was dropped after the heat spike, so this will be another smaller cuvée in the Aperture lineup."

Wine Enthusiast - 94 Points: "Robustly rich in red and black cherry, with finely etched details of clove and dried herb, this is a well-integrated and opulent red. The broad structure supports the power and ripeness of the fruit. It finishes on tones of black and white pepper."
