Beekeeper 2016 Zinfandel Secret Stones Rockpile Sonoma County
Chiseled stone, cracked black pepper, chewy plum skins, dried underbrush and patient pending "purple crayon” perfume--a bit of T4 wood will take some time to integrate but it will, and when drank in its ideal window I'm certain this will be one of our best efforts.

"Also straight-up thrilling stuff, the 2016 Zinfandel Secret Stones includes a slightly more Petite Sirah (20%) and all comes from the Rockpile Vineyard.Aged 15 months in 25% new French oak, it's a full-bodied, deep, rich 2016 that has plenty of intensity in its blackberry fruit and notes of ground herbs, pepper, licorice, and hints of graphite. With fine tannins and a seamless texture, drink this over the coming decade or more."

"Blended with 20% Petite Sirah, then aged in all French oak, 25% of it new, this is an outstanding wine from a burly mountainous appellation. A robust hearty nose of oak, tobacco and leather leads the way to a high-toned midpalate of cherry and berry dusted in crushed rock and black pepper."
