Turtle Rock 2018 Claude's Cuvee Paso Robles

Our Claude's Cuvee starts with a cooler climate Syrah planted on North and East facing slopes on the G2 Vineyard in the Willow Creek District. Its a beautiful ruby color that's full bodied with ripe tannins. We used 40% whole cluster and barrel aged in 70% new French oak for 20 months. Savory herbs and dried flowers with rich, dark fruit preserves and accented with spice and a dusting of cocoa. Pairs nicely with BBQ Ribs or sausage stuffed mushrooms. Cases produced 247. Enjoy now until 2032.

"Mostly Syrah with 23% Grenache, 20% Mataro, and 5% Tempranillo, the 2018 Claude's Cuvee has a juicy, elegant, yet still concentrated, classic Paso style with its black and blue fruits, ground pepper, chocolate, and violet aromas and flavors. With full body, an elegant, seamless texture, good acidity, and plenty of tannins, give bottles 2-3 years and enjoy over the following decade."

"The 2018 Claude's Cuvée is a blend of 52% Syrah, 23% Grenache, 20% Mataro and 5% Tempranillo made using about 40% whole cluster and aged 20 months in 70% new oak. It has a deep ruby-purple color and aromas of crushed blackberries and red berries with notes of garrigue, aniseed and dried flowers. The palate is medium to full-bodied with lovely restraint and fresh fruit character, softly framed and finishing long with lots of juicy uplift. 247 cases produced."
