Westerly 2015 Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills
Westerly 2015 Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills
Westerly 2015 Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills

Deep ruby-purple colored, the 2012 Westerly Pinot Noir displays subtle aromas of ripe raspberries and crushed red cherries with underlying notes of violets, lavender, and cinnamon stick. Medium-bodied, it is very well-balanced with crisp acid, a low to medium level of fine-grained tannins and satisfying berry and spice flavor layers that linger long into the finish. Drink now through 2020.

Wine Enthusiast - 91 Points
"Dusty earth, sweet cherry, soft licorice and sour cranberry aromas converge on the nose of this appellation blend. There's a wild character of dried sage and crumpled thyme on the palate, where ripe cherry and cranberry flavors give brightness to the earthy display."

Story
Owner & visionary, Roger Bower, is on the cutting edge of an emerging movement in Santa Barbara County. He works closely with all aspects of farming and winemaking, ranch management, as well as sales and marketing. Their vineyards in Sta. Rita Hills viticultural appellation is uniquely situated to receive the maritime influences that create the ideal climate for the growing of exceptional wine grapes. The flavor, intensity and complexity of Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir and Chardonnay come from a combination of the unique east-west coastal valleys, while cool weather, fog, wind and our soils limit vine vigor, crop yield and intensify the flavors of the wines. Distinct geology and geography combine to form an absolutely unique maritime corridor.
