Westerly 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara
This wine displays a deep garnet color, and aromas of Asian plum, raspberry, Bing cherry and hints of wild thyme. Medium to full-bodied, tight-knit and very fine in the mouth, with broad, polished tannins and bright notes. This is classically structured Cabernet Sauvignon that drinks well now, but will continue to positively evolve for the next decade.
Wine Enthusiast - 90 Points "Savory lines of smoked meat and wet rocks mesh into riper aromas of red-plum-reduction sauce on the nose of this bottling. The wine lands with ripe flavors of charred blackberry and coffee, leading into a sea-salt caramel finish."

Story Owner & visionary, Roger Bower, is on the cutting edge of an
emerging movement in Santa Barbara County. He works closely with all
aspects of farming and winemaking, ranch management, as well as sales
and marketing. Their vineyards in Happy Canyon are in the easternmost growing region of Santa
Barbara County. First planted in 1996, the AVA is widely recognized for
its unique micro-climate, serpentine-laced soils, and its ability to
produce top quality Bordeaux varietals. Designated as an official
American Viticultural Area (AVA) by the Trade and Tax Bureau in November
of 2009, Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara is home to only eight vineyards
and three brick-and-mortar wineries.
